Stay In The Know:

The Price of Love

March 12, 2019

"He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:8.

Love - Noun "an intense feeling of deep affection."

Love - Verb - feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment to (someone).

"Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." Alfred Lord Tennyson

In order to understand this statement, We must have some experience with it.

The price of love requires the opening of a number of safety deposit boxes that store your riches.

Each box holds a key and the more you fall in love, there is another key that opens up another box.

  1. The box of uncertainty is opened because you are in love with someone you don't have all the facts on.

  2. The box of vulnerability is next because you have opened up your heart that was safe within you.

  3. The box of dreams, because you are dreaming about what life would be like with your new found love.

  4. The box of desire.  Wait!  This box has a double lock. This box contains all of the intimate thoughts you have and your desire to fulfill them with your new love.

  5. The box of LOVE.  This box requires a combination to open.  This is the one locked in the big vault.  This is the box that is heavily guarded and requires attention and security.

  6. The box of disappointment.  This box is opened when things happen within the relationship that cause you to be both sad and disappointed.

  7. The box of loss.  This box breaks the lock and stays open.  This requires the loving touch of God to carry you through.

Look at all of the boxes that have been opened and I am sure there are some that are missing.   Without God it is almost impossible to Love wholeheartedly.  God has to be with you every step of the way.

The price of Love is expensive and requires the hand of God.

I say to enjoy love and experience it to the fullest.  There will always be a cost for loving someone and that is the challenge you have to be willing to take.

God is all love and he loves us in spite of who we are and we disappoint and walk away from him all the time.

Yes, there is a price for LOVE, however, our God he paid the ultimate price for us.

Be blessed.
