The Final Countdown

December 31, 2018

2 Corinthians 9:8 - "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

As we prepare to enter a brand new year, I am preparing for the final countdown.  2018 had its highs, lows and in-betweens.   Nonetheless, it was another opportunity for God to shape me and mold me.  It was another opportunity for God to allow me to release all that was not good for me, that includes people, things and opportunities.

And before the clock strikes 12:00 - take a look at the last ten seconds of the year - which is the FINAL COUNTDOWN.  Let's pretend it is 11:59:50.  You have 10 seconds to consider all of your 2018 year.

10 - Have you accomplished all of the goals you set for 2018;

  9 - Were you true to yourself;

  8 - Did you take the necessary time needed to rest and retreat;

  7 - Did you follow through on your doctor's appointments;

  6 - Did you spend time with loved ones;

  5 - Was there time for you to set some long term goals;

  4 -  Did you save at least 10% of your yearly income;

  3 -  Was there any time in your schedule to bless mankind;

  2  -  Will you repeat the same cycle for 2018; and

  1 -   Was God included in 10 through 2?

Our time on this earth is never guaranteed.  God gives us all 365 days a year, except in a leap year when you get 366 days.

Use each day wisely.  Take God with you every step of the way.  Ask God what his will is for your life.  Use every god given gift to bless others and never ever quit.  God is not a quitter, after all he puts up with all of us.

Whenever you feel stuck, discouraged and lack motivation, count back from 10 and ask yourself some of the questions above.  This will give you the opportunity to reevaluate and start again.

Be Blessed and Welcome to 2019.
