We are in the season of giving. Don't you wish it was every month? Let's define the word giving, definition - "freely transfer the possession of (something) to (someone); hand over to."
Many of us will give gifts during birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. I am penning this Christmas blog to challenge you all to try something different.
We should practice giving outside of the societal norms. Giving does not always involve special occasions. Need examples:
We can give by volunteering to help others read;
Many of you are already giving freely on social media. You are sharing your gifts, without charge. I learned about the benefits of celery juice from a wonderful woman on Facebook;
I gave a friend tips on how to create videos for YouTube. Free of charge.
Something as simple as praying for a friend or family member. Praying for a business, an ailment or a child. I have prayed with several people for their businesses and they have become quite successful.
Do you know that my biggest blessings have come from giving freely of my time, talents and abilities?
Every gift does not require a contract or a fee. Sometimes the greatest return on your life comes from something you offered for free.
Your gift can be that gift that keeps giving.
Yes, you! You have a gift to give and sometimes it is meant to give away for free.
Be a gift to someone unexpectedly.
