Stay In The Know:

Attitude is Everything

Attitude is Everything.

We hear this all the time.

However, it is a challenge when you are going through trials in your life.  But I have learned that my attitude  controls my circumstance.

You have heard the expression wearing your emotions on your sleeve.  Many people who know you can tell what you are going through by looking right into your face.  They know when you are happy, sad, confused etc....

Do you know that if you looked your situation right in the eyes, that a change in attitude can help turn that situation around.  Do you also know that anger and bitterness carry extra weight.  So if you weigh 125 lbs, anger and bitterness will turn your weight into 135lbs or even more.  Depending on how much you are carrying.

We all have our trials and they are from one extreme to the other.  We can have our moment to lament but then we must release it to God.  An attitude adjustment will shift how you see things.  You are no longer looking at your situation with tinted glasses, you can see the light coming to you more and more.

Attitudes can keep you healthy or cause you to become sick.  Cynical, pessimistic attitudes will cause infirmities.  You will look at everyone and everything through the same tinted glasses.  You will dump that cynicism on innocent people causing great harm.

On the contrary, if you keep your attitude both healthy and positive that your situations will begin to look different.  You will have a clarity of mind and think things through differently.  You will know that as God says, "weeping may endure for a night, but joy it comes in the morning."

Did you know that God makes reference in his Word about our attitudes.

Philippians 2:14-15 ESV -Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent,

Proverbs 17:22 ESV - A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Ephesians 4:31-32 ESV - Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Do you think that maybe you can use a change in your attitude?  Make the decision to change and then pray and ask God to help you along the way.

Hey you never know you could shed 10 pounds of attitude with just one decision.

Meditate on that!

Hugs!
