I recently read an article that Queen Elizabeth has worn over 5000 different hats in the last 50 years. Phew...... That certainly is a lot of fashion. A hat for every outfit and occasion and in so many different colors. Sounds like you need a good amount of storage space and time to deal with the Queen and her hats.
As a result of reading this article, I ask the question:
Your rack is filling up and the hats are multiplying. Eventually the rack will lean to one side and fall. With daylight savings time arriving and the loss of an hour's sleep. This is a great a time as any to start getting rid of those hats.
Start naming those hats and start deciding which ones will leave your life. As an example, you may have the:
The full-time job hat
The mother hat
The single-mother hat
The part-time job hat
The caretaker hat
The friend/advisor hat
The volunteer hat
The church hat
The sports mom hat
The speaker hat
the dogwalker hat
Shall I go on? Does your rack look like the photo above?
If so, it is time to toss some of those hats to the side permanently.
I challenge you this week to take a look at your hat rack and start eliminating some of them, before it leans over to far and crashes.
Meditate on that!
