Words For You
Stay In The Know:

September 13, 2017

Restoring the definition is to repair or return to an original state.  In the last 2 weeks we have experienced brushfires tornadoes, hurricanes, torrential flooding and sheer devastation to so many people.  Power has been knocked out, there is no water to bathe or drink.  Small islands have been practically wiped off of the map.

Now, what!  Now is the time of restoration.  God is the restorer of all things broken, loss and destroyed.  No.. One man cannot make America again.  That is God's job.

The great thing about restoration is that it brings people together.  There are people who are volunteering their time, donating money, clothing and food.  People - helping - People.  There was nothing more beautiful than watching folks on Facebook who were reaching out to friends and family and checking in.  The most amazing thing was watching those who were affected responding whenever they had the opportunity to say things like:

  • Pray for us the storm is nearby;

  • We have just lost power and we have no water;

  • I can hear the winds howling so loud it sounds like a jet plane;

  • There is a tornado watch;

  • I am scared and have not slept;

  • I am having dinner in the dark;

  • The water is above 1 to 2 feet;

  • I don't know what I am returning home to, if anything; and

  • Finally, God kept me and my family throughout this time.

We have to be our brothers and sisters keepers, even if it is through social media.  Prayer is a powerful thing and it helps people to know that you are thinking about them and praying for them.

Now that the storm is over let us not stop here.  RESTORATION TIME IS NOW.  Continue to reach-out and help if possible.  Remember to keep our brothers and sisters uplifted.  Some have no homes and others have parts of their lives that have been literally washed away.

Let's all be part of the RESTORE-A-NATION.  God is in control of all things and in time the healing will begin to restore us all one-by-one.

Meditate on that.
