I remember when I was a child - way before the remote control was in existence. I would have to get up from the chair and change the channel. What about your mom and dad making you get up to change the channel for them. They would also make you adjust the antenna and make you stand in one place to keep the reception.. OMG!
Changing the channel would give you the option to view different programs on different channels. There was the Brady Bunch, Laverne & Shirley and Good Times (Remember J.J.)
Here is a question, when was the last time you changed your channel. Our lives have a tendency to stay on the same channel. Are we working with a broken dial on the television. Have you been doing the same thing the same way for years or even decades. Take a look around you and see things are no longer the same.
Change is the only constant in life. Think about the things that require a bit of change in your life. Maybe it is your eating habits, eating a piece of cake everyday is no longer acceptable now that you are out of your 20s and 30s. A piece of cake everyday will cause additional weight and possibly high sugar levels.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing the same way and expecting different results. Change is inevitable. We can choose to change some things or we can choose to remain the same. Eventually, the television will turn to fuzz and you won't be able to change the channel. Take the opportunity to skim through the guide of your life and change the channels that are no longer working for you.
Don't wait for the television to blink out.
Meditate on that!
